Important Enrollment Requirements
- Incoming Kinder and new elementary students must have a Schools of Choice Placement Letter. Acceptance letters will be emailed.
- Proof of Residency is only required for students new to your campus and changes of address — including all new students, students entering grade 5 (Weis), grade 7 (Central), grade 9 (Ball), or students switching campuses.

- GIVA — Galveston Island Virtual Academy (9th–12th) —Apply Here
All other students attending Ball High School enroll through Skyward.

Important Documents Needed to Enroll
- Birth Certificate
- Parent ID
- Social Security Card
- Proof of Residency
- Immunization Record
- Court Documents (if applicable)
- Home Language Survey — First time in a Texas public school
- Residency Verification: Must show address, recent date, and parent/guardian name. Acceptable: gas, electric, water bill, mortgage, lease, or tax statement. A notarized GISD Residency Verification Form is accepted if no bills are in the parent's name.
